First week of school

Last year of Elementary for Heber. He has Mrs. Stone. Frannie has Mrs. Shelley, she is in a 4th-5th grade split. They both like their classes and teachers.

I'm in my 2nd full year, almost done with licensure! I have 8 students, ranging from 3rd-6th grade.

Joe is the only teacher at mountain view Jr high again and still teaches one early morning class at West field high school. 27th year

Sarah is a sophomore at West Field, she gets her driver's license in 1 month!! 🎉

Marjorie is an 8th grader at Mountain view Jr high.

SPED team at our school. Meggen and Kelsey teach resource. They are great!

The whole week was early out, it was very long but we made it. I got the Go ahead to hire one more para. I did get spit on in the face and it went in both eyes. Good times. I do like all my students and paras. It is going to be a busy year.

Lucy surprised us and rode down with a teammate. Fun having her here. Sarah pitched multiple times in her tournament this last weekend and got rained on a ton yesterday. She did great!

Last week of summer break

Sarah answered Kellson the other night.

Joe and I worked all week and so the kids were just on their own. My dad brought them lunch on Friday. They played a lot of video games. I am so glad school starts tomorrow, more as a mother than a teacher. ;)

I had safety care training all day Tuesday and Wednesday. It was NOT good timing, I am not as prepared as I would like to be tomorrow. Oh well, the training was good and I like this new program. I got to meet all but 1 of my student's parents this week. I have some great parents this year, so that is awesome. I am glad I have 3 returning para's, that should be helpful.

Sarah's ankle/leg is messed up from a softball.

I took the kids dress shopping for Sarah yesterday. The store next to Bliss (dress store) is a pet store that doesn't have your "usual" pets. They let the kids hold and touch all sorts of reptiles.

Barely made it to back to school night for these two after I had my own. All of our schools were at the same time. UGH.

Fran had basketball draft for her league last Wednesday I think. She did great and will be playing soon.

Brigham and Madi flew back yesterday, we should see them soon. Lucy had a great first week of school. She is starting her own blog, so that is fun. She has enjoyed her classes and her team. She got cute cowgirl boots from the Jae Foundation, it is about suicide awareness. Spencer posted another video last night. He has still been working a ton. Mary is doing well and enjoying her new area. She lives next to a petting zoo.

Joe gave us beautiful blessings today. We received important instructions and promised blessings as we strive to live and do our best on this "earth life test".  He and I got to go to the temple on Friday night. I am so thankful for God's love and mercy. I am thankful for amazing family: Joe, kids, parents, sisters, grandparents, aunts/uncles/cousins/nieces/nephews and amazing friends all over.

Another Crazy week/Lucy moved to Idaho/Happy 26th Us!

Monday night I ended up going to Reggie Peterson's art class at the White Barn because my only assignment on the art council is to coordinate setting up/cleaning up and I never arrange anything, so I went and ended up getting to participate. Heber and Frannie came too and just played on their own. It was a fun class.

Tuesday we left mid-day to go to St. George to visit Grannie and let Lucy see her before moving to Idaho.

We only stayed one night, thankfully James and Angie let us stay with them. We saw Millie on Tuesday night and Wednesday. She was very tired on Wednesday but in good spirits both days. Lucy was able to go to the doctor, dentist and eye doctor all this week too. She saw Ryan (Robison-optometrist) before we left on Wednesday. Wednesday was also Joe and I's 26th anniversary. It was really fun to be at the St. George temple on the actual day.

Thankfully, we were also able to squeeze in lunch with Gma and Gma Great on Thursday and go to a session in Ogden.

Mary has been hiking a couple times already, what the heck!? She also got transferred to Helena/Lincoln on Thursday and she is TRAINING already! Excited to talk to her tomorrow.

CSI posted about Lucy before the team dinner last night.

I finally got to take Shawnette to lunch for her birthday (that was July 5th) on Friday. It was a much needed dump. Haha, I am sure she felt like she needed a break after.

Yesterday we all drove to Idaho and got Lucy moved into her room. We went to Walmart and Costco and then the team BBQ last night. It sprinkled on us for a minute but then cleared up. We drove through a gnarly thunderstorm on the way home, it was beautiful and lots of rain for bit.

The woman on the left is Coach B's wife, Karen. But I took this picture because she reminds all of us of Aunt Toni (before she lost all the weight she has now). It is crazy, Toni already has a twin ;) but this lady looks related for sure!

When we got home late last night, Sarah found this in her room! Homecoming is Sept. 12th. Kellson snuck in while we were gone, Marjorie coordinated it all.

This is Sawyer and Elle's little Lottie. She is a doll, I wish I would of got one of her grinning she has a huge smile. But she was fascinated with my phone so she didn't grin.

Some of the old Lady Devils team, Allie and Angel were at church as well but we didn't take a pic for a while. Ash, Liv, Lucy, Lydia.

Like I said, I did not take many pics. The wonderful Esplin's hosted us today. I brought sandwiches, chips, and cookies. They had watermelon and their ice cream machine. So I came home with tons of cookies still. UGH. haha.

Toni, Sawyer, Elle, Lottie, James, Angie, Robert, Sandra, Kyle, Ammon, Titus, Hyrum (I think was there) all came today to hear Lucy speak in Spanish Fork. She did a great job and gave a different talk from last week. Avery Esplin sang and she did a phenomenal job. She leaves for Snow College this week. It was so fun catching up with SO many friends and old neighbors.

And after a blessing from her Dad, she left for CSI. She was calling Spencer before she even left. ( I love that.) I am not gonna lie, this summer has been completely nuts. But I am ready for work I guess, because it seems more calm and normal. *Not sure what that means if being a teacher in the behavior unit is more calm and steady than home life. Haha, but that is not what I mean entirely. I just need our schedule back and for the kids to have something productive to do that doesn't require me or money. :) But even though life is crazy, it is good and we have so many blessings and so much to look forward too.
