We had a busy weekend and very busy month ahead of us. We had a Primary Activity last Saturday. It went well and now it is time to focus on the Program coming up in November. I am trying to get it all planned and underway before I deliver. Which is why this month is going to be crazy because I am trying to do a ton of things "before" I deliver.

Lucy's First day of Pre-school
Lucy started Pre-school yesterday. Her first day was at Esther's. (The Gundersen's are Great! Lucy and Emma are best friends.) There are six of us mom's rotating. Hopefully it works out good. Lucy had a great time and enjoyed being able to go to school!

First Day of School
The girls and I went to the store on the First day of school. Lucy doesn't start pre-school until next week so we ran to the store and found a sale at Old Navy--50 cent shirts. But right next to the 50 cent shirts were these swimming suits--that if Lucy could design one this is what she would have made--swimming suits. Luckily they were half off! The other day she asked for some ice cream and I told her we didn't have any. She said, "But Mama a home is NOT a home without ice cream." Great.
So my cute boys were up on their own and dressed at 6:20 a.m. when I went to quiet them down. I knew it wouldn't last but was expecting it too at least into today! But they did get up quickly today when I woke them. (That won't last either.)
Brigham has Mrs. Gifford this year. He is a big 2nd grader. He had a great day and loved every minute. He came right home and did his homework. He already had spelling words on the first day! His handwriting is awesome.

Another fun trip to the Zoo
Lucy chose to ride the pony instead of the carousel. She almost chickened out though!
We rode the monorail finally. Didn't realize much of what you see on there you can only see from there. It was really cool--to see--not cool outside. It was so humid we were just dripping. If you look closely there is a drop coming off Joe's nose and we weren't even walking around. The kids were soaked after just sitting on the ride so we went straight to the stream area.
We met the boys teacher's tonight, school starts on Monday. YAY! We are all excited. We have been taking care of some dogs at a friends house this week and swimming a lot! It has been busy, we are ready for school. Joe has been really busy with work too, getting all the teachers ready to start teaching Seminary. I have not stopped sweating for 2 weeks. We are getting very excited to meet Sarah too!

100 Sit ups
So tonight for our activity for FHE we (the kids) were doing push-ups and sit-ups. Lucy asked me to count for her and I said okay. At about 30 I said cross your arms over your chest (instead of holding them out straight), so she did for about 5 and then went back to the straight arm. She kept going to 100! The boys were cheering her on--it was pretty funny.
This is for you mom. I think I am 33 weeks along. I feel like I am going to pop.
Loved this pose! Liking my new book about photography and learning a lot! Hopefully it will show in my pics before long.
Happy 2nd Birthday Sweet Maycee! My niece is two and she is so cute. We all love her and glad we got to talk to her on the phone.

Yesterday was a busy day. Joe and I celebrated our 10th Anniversary. We have swam a lot this summer but I never take my camera so I thought I better get some pics. The kids and I went all morning. This is Spencer doing a cannon ball.

Lucy is swimming so well, she is getting ready to go under.

Happy 9th Birthday Spencer!!!
The party started on Saturday, I took these 4 boys to see "How to Train Your Dragon". It was so cute, I loved it as much as them I think. Scott Roper, Spencer, Ryan LeMonds, Brigham. Ryan is a friend from school and Scott is a friend from church.

This was one of his favorite gifts, Toothless (from the movie) PJ's.
He wanted a Sonic cake. The humidity and heat made decorating it very interesting.
Last night we had some great friends, the Whitworths and Brights, over for cake and ice cream. It was yummy and we really enjoyed their company.
He got lots of phone calls from Family too and cards and gifts. We love and appreciate all of you and miss you!
Spencer you are a Great boy! You are a Super big brother and a wonderful son. You are really talented and bright. We love you so much! Can't believe you are going to be in 4th grade.
Baking and Baseball

A week and half ago Joe took Spencer to a Texas Ranger Baseball game. They had a great time together.
This last week and supposedly this next week the temperature has/will be above 100, with the heat index around 110. So even though it makes the downstairs even more warm we have been baking a little. Lucy loves it and she did this tray all by herself. She did great considering it was kind of a hard batter to put on.
So we are less than 2 months away now for this new baby to join us. Yesterday the kids were fighting over who was going to hold her. Lucy said that while the rest of us were cleaning up she would hold her since she can't be left alone. Spencer said if anyone was holding her it would be him. This should be very interesting. Lucy also had a dream the other night that she got to hold her and she was in a yellow suit with kittens on the front, back and sleeves. :)

Randomness
Spencer went paintballing for the first time yesterday for his friend Ryan's birthday party. This was the only welt he came home with thankfully! He had fun. I thought the red was paint but it's not--broken blood vessels.
My art class all submitted pictures into the Friend's art competition this week. These are the only two I took pics of because they were too big to make copies of. Spencer and Brigham both entered as well.
Yesterday Lucy said, "Ya know the plants that grow out of the water are called bulrushes." I said, "Yes, I believe they are. Where did you learn that?" "Caillou's dad told him."
So funny, glad she is learning something decent from t.v.
Mary is in such a fun stage. She seems to totally understand that there is a baby in my belly. She is so cute to say Thank you when she is suppose to. She is also saying "otay" when you ask her to do something. It is adorable.
We have had fun swimming a lot and playing with friends. Spencer is excited for his birthday coming up.
