Flowers

So I took Lucy to the store the other day to let her pick out some clothes that she would actually wear besides her pink dress. She picked out these pj's and one other pink dress thing with Hello Kitty on it. She picked out several other cute things that sat in the bag for several days and then she told me today I could return them. Great, back to the pink dress and her other mismatched concoctions.

More practice with Brigham!

The planter my family sent us! It is beautiful! :)

A flower Spencer made me when his water bomb went wrong. Pretty creative kid!

Thanks buddy!
It has been a fast week with lots of stuff to do. My emotions have been all over the place! The boys had a fun soccer game this morning and it is warming up here. Suppose to be 80 on Wednesday. So much for the 60's and 70's, didn't have much of them this year.
Little bit on Sweet Mary. Well that little girl is something else. The week we were in UT, she got into so much trouble! She is very attracted to lotions, tubes, bathrooms, etc. Well at home we can shut doors and keep her pretty safe. Well she managed to get into toothpaste, desitin, Children's Tylenol---very scary, etc. etc. She is a crazy girl, she got lotion in her eyes today and has continued with getting into everything. She has also started saying No and hitting me. Oh the stages!
Lucy on the other hand has been more of a helper and more into good things thankfully. She is so funny in her conversations. Lately everything is " When I was a little girl...." Spencer said once when he heard her, "Lucy you are a little girl." It was funny, didn't phase her, she told him she was big. She has also been talking about Santa being her Uncle. I am really going to miss her when she goes to school, which isn't for another year. But she is a great little friend. She rides her bike really well and fast so I have been able to take Mary in the stroller and run/walk with her on her bike. That is nice!
Brigham and Spencer are both doing well in school and busy with homework. They both enjoy going to Science club and coming to Art class.

The van

Joe took this with his phone at one of our stops. Pretty much explains our drive! :)

Spring Break 2010

We went up north for one night to see my family before heading home. The kids had a sleepover at Gma and Gpa's. Trevor, Lucy, Logan.

Mary and Maycee--sorry Haylee but this is hilarious!

Lucy and Logan!

Brigham, Jace, Spencer chowin' on popcorn.

Mary loves Aunt Haylee and stayed by her the whole time we were there. I didn't get any of us girls--so I will have to steal one off Shan's blog when she posts it.

My parents let the kids come swim at their hotel while in St. George. They had a blast!

In St. George on Sunday we had the kids draw a scripture story and then we had to guess what it was. This is Mary participating!

Mary kissing Grandpa. So cute!

We had a great trip all things considered. It is sad to have Gramps gone but we enjoyed the time we were able to spend together with family. The kids are amazing and did great on the drive. We got in a horrible storm on the way home but made it. A car came onto the freeway and came right at us, I saw it coming and was able to stop somehow before she ran right into us. It was very scary but we know the Lord was watching out for us and answering our prayers. I am sure there were many other miracles as well. Like when we were inching our way in between semi's that were stuck and inched our way up a mountain while our tires were spinning the whole time. Or when we couldn't see at all and inched our way forward for an hour and half. All the while the kids oblivious watching their shows and playing their DS's. Right in the middle of the stress Spencer yells out, "Hey Dad I just got to a new level!" Great son, glad you aren't scared. It was nice that they were so occupied and had no idea how scary it was. On the way home we didn't use the windshield wipers maybe 2 hours of the 23 hour drive. So glad to be home!!! Thanks family for everything! We have WONDERFUL FAMILY!!!

We got a phone call on Thursday March 11th, Joe's sweet father passed away. He has been in and out of the hospital for 5 or 6 years now but he has been doing relatively well now for a while. So even though it wasn't unexpected it was still a shock. The timing is amazing to me. We were headed into a weekend of Stake Conference and a whole week of Spring Break. So we were able to pack up and leave Friday afternoon without making too many arrangements. We feel really blessed that we have been able to go to the funerals of those we love very much since we have moved to TX. The funeral was really nice, Joe spoke and he did a great job. All of his siblings were there and the family had a nice time together even though it was sad. We are so thankful for the gospel. We love you Gramps!
