This week has been so crazy! Monday was a normal day until about 6 p.m. Then an unexpected hail storm clobbered Wylie! All of Wylie, so many windows busted and all the roofs ruined. And now it is raining for the next 4 days. We had just gotten the 4 kids to their practices/games. Joe was with the boys and I had dropped Sarah and Lucy at Founders and came back to get the others to go back to Sarah's game. But as soon as I got back I got the text everything was cancelled. So I threw the kids in the van and went to get the girls. The Mora's had them and were on their way home, they flipped around and we got them in the parking lot at Founders. The sky was quickly changing and turning green. It was crazy! By the time I pulled in the driveway it was hailing normal size hail already. I had Sarah and Lucy run inside. I told Mary to unbuckle Marjorie. I got out of my seat and was kneeling next to Heber in the van trying to decide what to do. My neighbor Chuck was trying to cover his 2 hour new car up with a blanket, so I was watching him making a plan to take the plyboard in our garage over to him when all of the sudden huge hailstones came barreling through my front driver side window. Glass went flying all over. I started to unbuckle Heber and his window blew up all over us. Glass was all over Heber, we eventually got it all off with tweezers. Joe had went to Founders making sure I got the girls because he didn't get my text in time and they got hit hard at the light up by the High School. Spencer was in the back seat and the hail came through and hit him in the back too. The car is totaled and we are waiting to hear on the van. Right after we were able to get in the house the sirens went off for a tornado. I about died, I made them all get in the pantry and thankfully the sirens stopped quickly. Because the north side of our house only has 1 small bathroom window we are SO blessed. Almost everyone has glass and water in their homes. It was so crazy!

Holes in the hardy board.
The front window is not down it is blown up.
Another "blessing" of the storm all the rat snakes come out of the gutter. My friend sent me this said it was headed my way. However, I must say I want them around to keep the disgusting rats away too. Just not by me!
The 2nd day above.
Bethany's hand (which is not small).
My stroller was in the garage folded up and it even got broke.
Some very nice people in our ward loaned us this excursion to use until we can get another vehicle. Their are no rentals available for months and no vans available until August! What?? It has been such a blessing. Having no transportation is awful but much better than glass and water in my house. This is an aerial shot of part of Wylie.
Brigham did have his first cross country meet on Thursday and then he got to pitch his whole baseball game, they won and he rocked it! 6 or more strike outs, only 1 walk, and a curve ball that was amazing. The ump pulled Joe aside after and said that it was one of the funnest games he has ever got to call. It was quite a compliment from him. Love our Wylie umps, they are great!
Someone took this shot of the storm over Wylie from a ways away.
He is walking/running all over now and getting into all sorts of mischief!!!
Cookies I made for Lucy's tournament yesterday, they turned out so Great! Only taken me 16 years of trying recipes and all sorts of options.
Heber trying out a new car seat from our neighbor--thanks Hollie! He loved it! We all went to Allen yesterday for 4 games. 3 in a row and then we had a potluck dinner with the Blaze Family (her team) and then 1 more game. They played awesome all day, we had a really good time. Lucy hit every at bat and did awesome!
Well hopefully this week of rain isn't too awful. And hopefully we can find more transportation! So grateful for insurance. I spoke in Sacrament meeting today about Repentance and Forgiveness. I loved preparing for it. It was good for me. I love our ward and community. I hope everyone is able to recover. I am so glad no one was physically injured more than cuts and scrapes.
