An evening at the Ballpark with Brigham

Just a sample of one of the greatest nights of my life.

B: Dad, do we really like the Texas Rangers?
J: Absolutely.
B: Does anyone like the Pittsburgh Pirates?
J: I suppose people in Pittsburgh like the Pirates.
B: So since we are in Texas, everyone likes the Texas Rangers?
J: Well this is their home field, so most people here like the Rangers.
B: This is their home field?
J: Yep.
B: Do they live here?
J: They probably feel like it, but they have houses some where else.
B: How do they get to the other fields?
J: They fly in airplanes.
B: Are they ever late for their games?
J: I doubt it, they are pretty careful about that kind of thing.
B: Are the Texas Rangers the best team in the world?
J: No, probably not, but they are playing really well right now.
B: Who is the best team in the world?
J: Probably the New York Yankees, they have won the most.
B: Do you like the New York Yankees?
J: Absolutely not!
B: Dad, is that guy (lead off hitter preparing to steal second) really fast?
J: Yes Brig, he is very fast.
B: Is he faster than me?
J: I would think so Brig.
B: Am I faster than any of those guys?
J: Brig, they are professional baseball players, they are all grown ups, and they are all very fast.
B: So I couldn't beat any of them?
J: Brig, you are seven. Maybe when you are their size you will be faster.
B: Could our yard fit in that field?
J: Our yard is about the size of the infield where the dirt is around the grass there.
B: I wish this was our yard, then we could play our own baseball games whenever we wanted.
J: That would be something to mow wouldn't it.
B: I bet no one in the world could run around this whole field in 10 seconds.
J: nope
B: Can we go sit at the top?
J: Sure
B: If I raise my hand will that man came over by us? (reffering to the beer man)
J: Yes he would, but you don't want him to.
B: Can we sit next to those people?
J: I think it would be good if we kept a little space between us and the other people.
B: Is it not good to sit right next to other people?
J: Probably better to just leave a little room.
B: Will that make it easier to breathe?

Happy Father's Day!

So we almost had everyone looking and smiling! :)

This one would have been the best had I not been hideous!

New BBQ caddy for all the utensils and napkins.

My parents sent him a couple books that he LOVED!
Happy Father's Day Babe! You are a great Dad, we love you so much!
I hope my dad had a great day too, so excited to see him and everyone else next week!!! I spoke in Sacrament mtg today about Honoring the Priesthood, it was a fun talk to prepare. I also had Sharing time and we did a gift for the Bishop so it was a busy 3 hours but very fun and rewarding. I am so blessed to have and have had the men in my life that I do and grateful they hold the Priesthood.

Zoobilee

Our Zoo pass has turned out to be totally worth th $75 bucks! They had a carnival last night for members and everything was part of our pass! We had a great time.

This is in the face painting line--they are watching the clown in the previous pic!

Check out the sweat within seconds of this being done! It was warm but the sun was going down so we managed. :)

Love this pic! Mary is growing up so fast all of the sudden. She is talking way more (finally) and knew exactly where she wanted her face painted. Funny girl.

They made their own butterflies.

Posing for a pic--too bad they were looking at Joe not me!

We had a great time together. It is so nice to have older kids, they actually stayed with us and listened. It was nice! We should have a great Father's Day weekend! Hope you do too!

Summer days

Just liked this one! She thought she should wear her sister's swimsuit. It is already starting.

Lucy has been a little wild lately--horseplaying with her brothers. So she decided to pull the bottom rack out of the dishwasher while I was unloading it and talking to my mom on the phone and take it for a spin around the loop on the fast floors. She didn't make it around even once before she ran into the wall and rammed one of the prongs into her cheek. THANKFULLY it was small enough to avoid shots and stitches. We did take her to have Dr. Merchant glue it shut since it gaped every time she smiled. Nice. I am so glad it wasn't worse. AND it calmed my kids right down. Brigham cried more than Lucy. We'll see how long that lasts. We went straight to Amber's that day and spent the rest of the day with them. We had a great time. Needless to say I forgot the camera.

Today we all went to the Zoo. We had so much fun! It was nice to have Joe with us too!

The giraffe place is awesome, as you can see we are up higher than them so they are right in the kids faces.

Happy Summer!

Summer Fun part one

The boys tried to sleep out on the tramp the last day of school--they came in at 4:30 wet from the humidity/dew. I think they had fun still though!

I didn't know Mary was doing this until I looked at these pictures. Hilarious! 23 wks along.

We had a fun weekend, swimming, swimming, and Joe and I went on a date. We had a good time. It was a great start to our Summer.

Happy Birthday JOE!!!

Mary and Lucy decided to have a little fun with the bows while getting out of the tub. I have no idea how Lucy got all of those to stay in her hair or how she got Mary to hold still that long!

I made the Milhoan's cookies for the "cake" and put ice cream and homemade sauce on top! I loved it--not sure if it was Joe's thing! ;0

Happy 36th Birthday BABE! We love you so much. Thank you for being a Wonderful Husband and Father! You are the Best! I am taking him on a special date this Saturday--hope it turns out great!

Boys Awards

The girls all ready to go see their brothers! They were very good. :)

Brigham after getting one of his awards.

He got chosen by the gym coach as the Most Athletic in his class! He also had Perfect Attendance for the whole year and his teacher gave him the Always Sharing award for their class. Way to go Brigham! We love you! Can't believe you are a 2nd grader now!

Spencer got COMMENDED on BOTH of his TAK tests. This is a big deal and will be on his school records forever. This year he took the Math and Reading tests. He got 95% and 97% on them. We are so proud of you Spenc! (He was disappointed he didn't get 100%--he thought he did.)

We Love you both so much! Spencer is going to be a 4th grader!!! Ahh! This will be his last year at Elementary here. 5th and 6th are at a different school.
