Happy Thanksgiving!

I hate how I never remember to load these up in the opposite direction I want them! We got most of Christmas put up on Friday and Saturday. Now I just need to decide on stockings--obviously those aren't going to cut it!

So this is backwards. The after dinner walk...

Our friend's awesome backyard--we were in Austin, TX.

Thanksgiving with the Johnson's and a missionary couple serving there.

The kids! They have 6 and one on the way.

Lucy and Eloise--they are two peas in a pod! Hilarious! As you can see they dress themselves!

Deverie and I--she is great.

The kids helped me make name tags for everyone--that is Spencer's off to the left that looks like a headress or pineapple!

Met another friend at the Turkey Trot that morning. We had a great run! Thanks Jen!

The boys waiting for me I guess!

Good job Joe on taking pics!

The boys ran the Kids run! They did Great!

I got to run with them--we had a fun time!

Before--still a little sleepy and Spenc not sure how he is feeling.

As he had just visited the restroom twice, pre-race jitters! Sorry Spenc--I know how you feel.

Brig seemed fine with it all.

Joe smoked a turkey that we took with us! IT was Awesome! We all LOVEd it!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We thought of all the family and friends we love and miss. We also enjoyed the friends we got to see and become better acquainted with. WE are so so blessed and we are very grateful for the Lord's hand in our lives.
Just a funny/sweet thing: On the way to church today Lucy was asking me about when Jesus is going to come again and then she asked, Mom when He comes again can he go to Whataburger with us and Gpa and Gma?
Hope y'all had an Awesome Thanksgiving!

Vacation

The kids had the whole week off for Thanksgiving. So we went to the track on Monday to make sure the boys were ready for their race on Thanksgiving. Mary did a whole loop on the track--so cute!!!

She was all into it! Sippy cup and all.
Lucy did her lap and then sat down for some pretzels!

The kids also got in some wrestling with Dad and some Captain Underpants shows--hence the blankets and lack of clothing.

It was a great start to a Holiday week!

Dallas Heritage Museum/Baby Shower

My friend Emily had her baby boy last week and we had her shower here this week. He is so cute!

Spencer using his jacket to create bigger "biceps" in his shadow!

I got to go on a Field trip with Spencer to the Dallas Heritage Museum. This was my favorite house. It was a cool place!

Spencer and his friends on a pretend coach ride.

My great friend Autumn came too--it is so fun to have kids the same age and do things together! We weren't really ready but this was the best we got!

We had a fun day! I also got to go to a Birthday Party with Brigham yesterday but I forgot my camera!!! He was so cute though and had a great time bowling. So excited about his "81". I am excited to have Thanksgiving this week and hopefully relax a little! I have been too busy this week--not very fun for any of us.

Primary Program/Random

Mary trying to pose like Lucy, funny.

This couldn't be black and white for the room I wanted it in so I added a tiny bit of color. I am not sure why it looks so streaky in this pic--but it has been fun playing with it.

The Primary Program was yesterday and the kids did so GREAT! I am so glad it turned out so well. The boys did their parts really well and it was a good meeting. I loved the theme "My Eternal Family" and the songs were beautiful.

All sorts of crazy things were happening in Wylie last week so hopefully this week is low maintenance. Man beat to death by teenagers for telling them to slow down on the road. Man barricaded himself in his house with gun, police ended up shooting him after many hours, etc.

Spencer did the lesson for Family Home Evening tonight and he did so good. It is so fun to watch them learn and grow especially in their gospel knowledge.

Love this time of year, giddy with plans, excitement all around, not to mention awesome weather. :) Hosting a couple of parties coming up too. Good times.

My First Acrylic painting

Teaching art lessons has inspired me to do way more art myself. It has been so fun! I did this the other day--still have tons to learn but I guess practicing what little I know will teach me something.

Happy Halloween! Happy Birthday Dad!

Lucy and Gma at the park!

Painting/carving pumpkins! The girls would rather paint!

Brig showing us his skills.

I made it back from my conference with Joe just in time for Brigham's Fall Party that I was in charge of. My Mom and Dad got to come with me so that was exciting. Both boys had fun at their parties. I don't know why I didn't get one of Spence. I am so mad I forgot to take my camera to our conference. I could of had some great pics! We had a great time and got to see great friends and meet some new ones. I am so Glad my parents were here to take care of our kids even though they didn't know their way around!

Gpa helping Lucy.

My Mom looks AWESOME! She has lost almost 40 lbs now!

Brig took this "close up" of us!

The boys were so excited to take Gpa to Babe's for his Birthday.

They were mad though that they didn't humiliate him like they did Spencer!

This is blurry--we were headed to our Trunk or Treat next door.

Mary has come up with this lovely little scowl--we saw it hundreds of times this week. The funny thing is she only can hold it for second and then she'll smile. BUT she was not giving us her treat bucket for nothing. We literally pried her fingers off it to get her outfit off to get her in her carseat.

Happy Halloween! Don't ask what the boys are--just tell them they looked awesome. ;)

She has got a big cheeser right now!

Lucy actually went trick or treating this night--she wouldn't at the trunk or treat. It helped that she got to walk around with her friends Victoria and Riley.

Cute Dad, he had his Birthday here while Joe and I were gone. I love him so much! He is a great Dad and Grandpa! I hope he had a great day here.

Trying to get one of them all! We had such a great time!

Joe and I did have a great time, I am so thankful my parents were able to come. They are so great. I realized again just how awesome they are and how much they have always taught me ESPECIALLY about Family! Family has always been the most important thing to both of them and us girls have always known that. At the conference all of us agreed that if we could just be a day away from Family that would be better (than 2) but at least we are in the same country. Some are lucky enough to have their family near them. But we are really blessed and really love it here. Thanks Mom and Dad! You are the BEST!
