Celebrate the Arts

Good afternoon!
I just wanted to let you know that Lucy will be receiving the 9 Weeks Choir Award!!!! She will receive the award at the Marauder Madness Assembly on Friday, March 17th at 8:20 a.m. in the Davis gym.

Lucy is a delight to have in choir!!!! She sings well, has a great attitude and contributes a lot to class discussion. I’m very sad to hear that you are moving this summer as I would love to have her in 6th grade choir next year!!!

I hope you are able to attend the awards assembly. Please keep this a secret from Lucy as it is meant to be a surprise for her.

Sincerely,

Allison Russell
Davis Choir Teacher

Sarah's is the purple castle not the one behind her head.

Pi day: 3.14.17, my creation for this day.

They broke ground on our new home!!!!

Sarah's coach Lisa is so awesome! She is great with the girls, she knows what she is doing, and she is nice. She heard Frannie fuss for 2 seconds during the game yesterday and came over and took her out of the stroller and held her for quite a while. She turned out to be quite a distraction. However, Sarah still rocked it out there and scored her FIRST goal!!!! She assisted in several others and saved some from going in for the other team. She played Emily and KK from Preschool last year.

KK with the ball and Sarah right behind her.

Emma, Sarah and Mia, 3 tough players for the Mermaids!

The boys had Youth Conference this last weekend. They had a Great time!!! They got back LATE last night. It has been another busy week. Time seems to be zipping by. Lots of fun seeing all the art this weekend too.

Lucy -n- Joe OK date/Spring Break

I chopped her hair off. We had dentist appointments, worked in the flower beds, boys went to Urban Air one day. Joe and Spencer almost have his truck running.

 My big helper.

 Kissy girl!

Doug Stourges and his family hosted these two for a fun getaway to see the Oklahoma Sooners Softball team. They had a FABULOUS time and the staff spoiled Lucy!!! Among everything below they gave her a nice gift card to Rudy's, and 4 concession tokens that equaled $20. They let her announce a couple of batters and pick a few songs. The stadium was full by the time the games started. OK won both, they are awesome.

They gave her a replica of the National Championship ring from last year. It is sweet!!!

They have won a ton of awards.

 Lopez is the Freshman pitcher.

They took her in the locker game during the first game.

She got all but 4 girls on the team to sign her poster.

Above and Below, the 2 pitchers she got to see pitch. They were both Awesome! The above girl is only a freshman, Lopez. Her fast ball is 70 mph and her change up is 40.

This girl is an awesome pitcher as well, she was All American as a Junior.  Doug also gave her a signed ball from last year's National Champion team and this awesome framed print that is signed from the pitcher from last year.

Brigham went to hitting practice everyday this week. Lucy got in a couple of practices. We had Stake Conference this weekend with Elder Todd Larkin. It was really great! Really loved what he shared with us. Time is going by so quickly. They haven't even started on our house yet.

Derby winners

The Activity Day girls got to make pinewood derby cars and race them with the Cub Scouts on Friday.  Our girls did great! It was a fun night but I am so glad it is over. We do not have enough help with our Scout program right now.

Mary's took 1st in girls and boys. Lucy took 3rd in both too.

Flynn and Heber from Kassandra's phone.

Mary trying on my glasses that I never wear. Ordered online--kind of biggish on my face.

Found a knock off of the Tula (baby carrier that I love but expensive) and I like it!!!

Lucy was so proud of her detached egg yolk that stayed together.

Marjorie looks so cute with her hair down but she wouldn't wear it like this.

Judy (she sells my drawings at her print shop in Syracuse, UT) emailed me a while back saying people were asking for Idaho Falls Temple.
