Our First trip to the Beach

Stewart Beach, Galveston, TX; Brigham and Mary just chillin'.

Joe found 5 or 6 Hermit crabs. The funny thing is the first one they thought was just a cool shell so Spencer put it in his pocket but somehow it got out. Umm.....

The girls hanging out before they decided they liked the ocean. It took them a long while and then we had to drag them out of it to leave!

Riding the Ferry, fun experience. However, next time we will pass up the line, park, ride it and come back and get on with the day! Now we know. We did get to see lots of dolphins though and that was awesome!

The first night in the sand, didn't like the water at this point.

This was on the Seawall by Joe's Crabshack, we went there the first night.

Playing in the water the first few minutes of being there!

Still with tears in her eyes from her first encounter with the ocean. The waves scared her to death--only a few feet out--and made her feel like she was moving. By the next day 2 hours into the beach time she was LOVING it, diving head first into the waves much farther out! Mary was doing the same only we stayed a little closer to the shore so I could sit in the waves and still stay upright! The waves were really strong, we were wondering if that had to do with the big storms in Florida.

Joe and I decided Thursday afternoon that we would really like a little getaway and we had been wanting to take the kids to the ocean. Thankful for my mom's hotel hook-up once again, we were off to Galveston for a night. It was about 4.5 hours each way. The kids do so great that seems short to us now. Crazy! We had a great trip--it was so fun! We spent a lot of time in the water and with each other. Fun times!

28 weeks

So I went to the Dr. on Thursday and everything is going fine. At the end he said ok see ya in two weeks and looked at him like what? He said well you will be 30 weeks but we can do 3 weeks if you want. It is so close--this past year has literally flown by--at least as a whole. I have had plenty of days that seem long but overall time is flying. I hope I am ready when she comes! My girls and their clothes...I just don't know what to do! I have thought about getting rid of most of them, locking them up, getting rid of their nice easy dressers and getting some really old ones at a yard sale that they cannot get into...and to think I need to go through the newborn clothes now. Not something I am too excited about. Maybe if I hide them in a different room the girls at least won't go through them too.

Yesterday the girls and I got to go to a birthday party for our cute neighbor Ryley. We had a great time. We love Jason, Amber and Ryley and loved being with them. Mary is such a big girl now. She is starting to pull off her diaper all the time just like Lucy did at 2.5, so I guess we will be potty training for real sometime soon.

Last night Joe and I got to go to a swim party at 9 p.m. with a bunch from our ward. It was really fun and good to get out. Never been to an adult only swim party!!!

Yesterday was also my parent's 36th Anniversary, Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! We love you so much and hope you had a great get-a-way! I wish I had some pics to post from then and now.

Our drive home

We got to stop at a famous restaurant for dinner in Amarillo, TX last night.

It was a pretty cool place, lots to see and good food too!

We also got to stop at this bridge, Lee's Ferry near the Grand Canyon. It was a good drive--better weather than last time and the kids did Awesome! We stayed in a Rodeway Inn in Gallup New Mexico. Very interesting, the kids thought it was awesome. It was convenient and we are very grateful for the hook up. Thanks everyone! We had a Wonderful week!

St. George--Monte's Baptism

Monte (with his Dad-James) got baptized on July 3rd! We were glad we made it!

Trystan, Spencer, Monte, Brigham, Lucy, Kenna and Mary

The girls playing at the park waiting for the fireworks to start.

We got to go bowling right before we left while Joe was at his eye appt. with Ryan.

Getting some tips from Uncle James.

Mary even got to bowl, she did great!
We had a good time visiting with the family and friends we got to see. The kids had a great time too! We got to spend some time with Granny and it is always great staying with James and Angie.

Our stay up North

Aunt Haylee painting toe nails!

Don't think we see Lucy in things like this very often!!!

Brady ( I hope--I can tell them apart easy if they are next to each other) and Haylee.

Us girls, we got to go to lunch and pedicures! Fun times. We also got to be there for Gma's 78th Birthday! We all went to Maddox--it was really fun! We love you Grandma Great! We had several people taking pics at the same time--that is why none of us are looking.

The kids messing around, they did not sleep like this--too much excitement!

Lucy found a new fishing pole in the garage that was pink and purple so she insisted on going fishing. Dad and Mom took her and Trevor to the fish farm since we didn't have time to go camping this year. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Their loot, that they wouldn't touch! Trevor, Lucy, Maycee, and Logan.

We got a good one!!! Mom wanted one this direction for her desk--so glad it turned out!
Top: Trevor, Lucy, Logan

One night we did fireworks and had hamburgers/hot dogs.

Some of the kids ready for Maddox. Mary, Lucy, Brigham, Jace, Spencer.
We got to swim twice up at Sharlan's, play, have sleepovers, walk, etc. We had a great time. The boys got to go to Toad's with Gpa right before we left too. Thanks everyone--we love you all! Miss you already!

Our drive to UT

We drove by the Monticello Temple--it is pretty! Fun to see it.

Mary faking "sleep", so funny.

We stayed in Amarillo on Sunday night since we left after church. It was only a 6 hr drive that day. The next day was much longer--15 hours. I also got pulled over for the first time in Emory County, UT. It was sad... got a ticket for being too close to the car in front of me and a warning for speeding. Thankfully the officer was nice. We eventually got to my parents home in time to go to bed.
