Turning 35 and random

My birthday was on Tuesday but we celebrated on Monday since it was President's Day!  Joe and I got to go to lunch and boot shopping. I ended up buying 3 pair over the course of the week and returning all 3 pair.   We found some online but they are not here yet!

These were super cute, but not pratical for me. Right now I am all about practical! :)

Pretty flowers from a sweet friend!

Spencer had his basketball team party yesterday at Main Event and his coach had these trophies made for them.  It even has his name on it--sorry the pic is blurry.

He was also recognized in Maurader Madness on Friday for his amazing Math abilities!!! Go Spencer!!!

I cannot believe I am 35. I can't believe it is almost March. Crazy! 

Oh, yesterday we were watching Dolphin Tales and after the kids were asking if we could go see "Winter" in real life.  Mary heard the conversation and piped in, "If we go close to it, I AM going to Freak out."   It was HILARIOUS. She is funny!

Spencer's a Champion

Max, Patrick, Devan, Jeremiah, Jordan, Issac, Spencer, Obina (he is incredible!)--very fun team to watch!

Spencer had a Fantastic Basketball season!  Coach Joe Paylor is in the green, Obina's Dad is in the red. They won, took 1st in the League Championship.  Spencer was so proud to be part of the team. They were so good to him and really fun boys. Several of them are very talented. Coach Paylor was incredible as well. They have a big party this Saturday. So more to come....

New Chair

Joe found this chair the day after Valentine's day for $45 because of a broken foot that he fixed in a few minutes. Regularly $400. It went perfect with what I had just finished for Valentine's day!

 New nightstands for Joe and I. I surprised Joe and did a mini-makeover to our bedroom. It made for a very busy couple of weeks, but fun keeping it a secret. Yesterday was absolutely crazy though trying to pull it off plus do the normal.  Which involved taking Spencer to the Dr, ear infection in his right ear.

 I did 2 new paintings for our wall, I did the left one all yesterday. Not very smart. :)

 Hung some curtains finally.

 Moved the old t.v. that didn't work out of our room.

Took Brigham to his first play off game. So stressful. Double over time.

He scored his first basket and they WON!!! 19 to 16. Very low scoring game for both teams. Lots of traveling. Now both boys play on Thursday. All in all we had a wonderful day. Hugs to all of you!!!

Oh funny story. On the 13th when I checked on Spencer before turning his light out, he was hiding something he was writing on. I, ha ha, thought it was a Valentine for me. Nope, when I hadn't received it last night I asked him what he was doing. It was a Valentine for a girl he likes (hasn't mentioned girls this entire year!) and left it for her signing it "your secret admirer". So funny, so he was so excited when he was telling me about her telling him about this awesome note that someone had given her and she didn't know who it was from. He said at that point he felt himself turning red so he hurried and left and went and got something across the room. HA! They are very good friends supposedly. Glad he likes one thing at school since the rest of it is SO BORING.  :)

Happy 6th Birthday Lucy!

Tried another new hairstyle, needs a little bit of practice I think, but it was cute overall.

Our kids have the option of a friend party on their even birthdays but both girls chose different this year. Lucy wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese with Emma (Gundersen).  We had a good time!

Today was so busy. It was the class parties at school and I was in charge of Lucy's and painted all of the kids faces. I didn't get any pics.   So glad that Lucy is a part of our family. We love you so much Lucy!!! She is a great sister to her brothers and sisters. She is generally really sweet and kind. She loves gymnastics and is going to take classes for a couple of months starting in March. She is one of my best friends too! Happy Birthday sweet girl!

My first Temple Watercolor. Hurried and did it last minute for a friend.

 My current mantle. The kids and I, mostly Mary and I just finished the crepe paper flower on the candlestick, thanks to Pinterest. :)  I refused to join for a long time because I knew I would have to limit myself, but it is pretty cool!!!

AND my latest blog book just arrived today!!! AND I love it! Busy week.
