Mary is officially walking more than crawling now. Here is a short clip. A while back Lucy was opening a pack of smarties and she said, "My Daddy says when things go wrong twist your candies." ??? We have never heard anything of the sort! :)

Lots going on--oh and Happy Father's Day!
Happy Father's Day Joe! It has been kind of a crazy one but hopefully he enjoyed the day. He
spoke in a ward for High Council after he went to Sacrament meeting with us and helped set me apart as the new Primary President. Then he had a mtg after his speaking assignment. We did have an enjoyable evening at home too!
We had lots of fun this week with friends, swimming, etc. But my Grandma Jackie died early yesterday morning. I am really going to miss her even though I didn't ever get to see her a whole lot. She always made me laugh when I did see her and she always let me know she loved us.
And yes I got a new calling in my church that will continue to keep me busy. I am excited though I just wonder how I thought it was okay to leave for a month. :) I have great counselors thankfully! This week is going to be nuts but then again most weeks are. Oh and I wanted to do a big thing for both my parents on Mother's day and today but didn't scan in the pics I wanted so that will have to come later. I love you Dad! You are the Best!

Splash park!
Funny Mary!
Sorry this one is kind of long, but I haven't figured out how to edit movies yet!
She is such a fun girl. We have no idea what she is trying
to tell us but we had fun listening to her! :)

Our Trip to Missouri

We got to visit our great friends the Lawson's in Willard, Missouri this last week. We went swimming (didn't have the camera with me :( ) and the kids played and played. They loved catching baby toads and fireflies. L to R: Katie, Brigham, Lucy, Spencer, Sarah, Anna behind her on the couch, Mary, and Emily. Little Sam isn't in the pic!

Yesterday we got to go to Silver Dollar City with them in Branson, Missouri. We had so much FUN! This is on the bus going from the parking lot to the front gates. Brigham and Sarah are only a few months apart. Actually all of our kids are only a few months apart except their oldest--they got married a couple years before us.

Spencer, Mary and Joe!

My attempt of a Great pic! The place was gorgeous, I could have taken so many pics but Joe had the camera much of the time. Oh well! :)

Some of us on the train ride. Cute kids! Yes, the Lawson's are tall. :)

The boys proved to be big chickens on this trip, but they had a good time!

Awesome porch of a great house overlooking an awesome amphitheatre.

Everyone having a little treat right before going home!
Thank you Lawson's! We had a great time.

Last week of school

Mary at one of the award assemblies she went to this week. She did great, they were long!

Brigham got the "smartie" award for sharing his smart and inquisitive thoughts through the year. He did so well in Kindergarten, he is reading well and loves school. He wants 1st grade to start tomorrow.

Mary is growing up so fast. She isn't walking very much still but she acts so grown up already.
She is really entertaining too!

Pizza face!

Dancing trying not to fall.
Spencer did really well this year also. He missed a couple of big awards by 1 or 2 points. I think he may work a little harder next year. :) He also loved school and actually didn't want it to be over. We are all excited for summer though and have lots of fun things planned. So here we go....
Happy Birthday Joe! Late!

We had our last soccer game that night so we only had ice cream after to celebrate. He didn't want a cake but I should have made one anyway! Mary was already in bed.

Here is the complete team. Spencer, Brigham, Colby (front row)
Antonio, Tate, Joshua, Meba, Tyler. They had a fun season even with all the rainouts.

Joe and I and the girls did get to out for lunch to one of his favorite places: Texas Land and Cattle in downtown Dallas. It was yummy and we had a good time. Joe is 35 now, new age bracket and everything. Not as exciting as it used to be--at least in those regards. He is healthier and happier ( I think) than ever. He got a Traeger (see first pic) for his birthday, Father's day, Christmas, etc.... For those of you who don't know what that is: it is a smoker that smokes wood pellets powered by electricity. So now when Joe smokes a brisket or pork roast we do not have to check the charcoals every couple hours all through the day and night. (They usually cook for half a day or so usually through the night so they can go in the oven all day to be ready for the dinner.) We also do not have to wet the wood chips and get them set up just right and I do not have to dig the stray wood chips out of the disposal anymore either--YEAH!
I am so thankful for you Joe and all that you are and all that you do. You are a wonderful husband, father, teacher, son and friend. We all love you so much!
