Nurse's Maid Elbow

My latest project--well that is finished!

The top half is for me--the bottom half to please the girls!
This is Lucy's side of the room, Mary's isn't finished yet. Well finished is a strong word, done for now that is what this is!

What a day! or TWO! Yesterday I made the mistake of putting Lucy on her bed with one arm and I heard a bad pop and knew something was wrong. Went to a nasty urgent care where the Dr. didn't help her at all. Had to wait almost 24 hours before her pediatrician easily popped it back in place. I feel awful but we definitely learned where to go and where not to go. Lucy was a trooper and put on a show at the Orthopedic place today. She had a captive audience and she just kept on dancing, singing and talking non-stop. I heard one man say she has been going like that for an hour. He wasn't joking either. It was pretty funny. People freak out when I tell them I have 2 more kids at school. :) Once it got back in place and she realized it didn't hurt to move it she was just fine. It was great to see the quick recovery. Too bad it took way longer than it should of. I did finish her name I have been working on with good ole mod podge and cute stickers. Now it is time for Mary's and of coarse Spencer saw it and said I could do something "cool" for him. The boys have been playing on the slip -n- slide in the evenings this week.

Cute Mary--random thoughts

This was Brigham's attempt at helping me, he did pretty good.

Well Lucy didn't get to wear this dress because I waited too long to try it on her, it is an 18 mo size! Mary is almost 8 months and it fit great! Nice. Mary is such a happy good baby, I am so thankful! I also wanted to say that I love medium point pens! (That is random I know.) Also on a random note Primary on Sunday went AWESOME! My pianist brought this chicken hat and we also are enticing them to sing by earning food for a picnic, so with the combo they sang Fantastic! I was blown away I couldn't even sing, I was laughing and crying, so were all the other leaders. It was so Fun! The older kids wanted to wear the hat, so we let them--funny. I will have to put pics on.

Fabulous Friday!

This is the outfit you gave her Shan!
Lately Lucy only wears dresses! This is a 18 mo. one that was too small then--crazy!

Tonight was so much fun, it started out looking like it wasn't going to be great, but we found a place to see the hot air balloons that didn't require money and we ended up seeing 3 land right by us. I have lots of cute pics so I will just leave it to them. I will put several of Mary since she has probably changed since most of you have seen her. I love fall, the temps are GREAT!

Our New TV

I am hoping that blogging about this is going to help me feel better. I just read Erin R. post about her carpet and had to laugh and realized that maybe I might not be so upset about this tomorrow. Okay so we finally got a new t.v. 5 weeks ago, well yesterday Brigham was mad at Spencer and threw something at him, missed and hit the t.v. This is what the t.v. looks like now: (sorry I still can't figure out how to get the picture where I want it in the text) Yeah so it is ruined. It is not covered in the warranty since it is damaged. Homeowners will cover it but the deductible is basically the price of the t.v. AHH! Any ideas on what to do with it now?
Also, I think I am going to change this to private--I put so much stuff on here
it is kind of freaking me out to think anyone can see it. So send me your email if I don't already have it--bobbideeb@yahoo.com--if you want to see our blog. Here are some pics of Brigham and Mary--they are so sweet most of the time. :) Our Primary program is November 9th, it is my first as the chorister. I am excited and nervous. I love working with the kids, I am much more effective with senior primary but hopefully I can help the little ones listen to me. After surviving Sacrament
m
eeting, struggling through with junior music time, senior music time is a HUGE relief and blessing. There are way fewer of them and they know the songs and they sing them!!! Well this was random--hope everyone is having a good day! Oh yeah when I ran this morning I think it was actually in the 60's, it was beautiful and so nice! The first time I have been chilly in Texas. I love fall!

First Tooth

Brigham lost his first tooth last night--after I basically had to hold him down and dig it out of the back of his throat--since it was so loose when he finally let me touch it it went sliding down. We got it without too many tears though. He was so excited. The bad tooth fairy sorta forgot and had to pull a fast one this morning as the boys were trying to figure out why the tooth was still under Brig's pillow. But I made sure they kept the lights out until I checked and left the money while saying maybe the tooth fairy heard you say you wanted to show the tooth to your class, so it left both! Oops! They were all very excited. Here is a pic of Lucy in Mary's dress that is a hand-me-down from Aunt Marvett! So funny. The spelling system here is kicking our bums! They don't give them a list of words to memorize, they give them a rule and they study the rule for a week and then take the test on words that follow that rule. It is great, just not what we are used too! Good thing he is only in 2nd grade.

Happy Birthday Shan!

Today is my sister's birthday, it is weird not being there for the celebration. Happy Birthday Shan! Well several fun things have happened this week and I didn't have my camera for any of them. Nice! Spencer was recognized at Dinobeat on Friday. Dinobeat is an assembly they have every Friday where they sing, say the pledge, say the Texas pledge :), and recognize students. They gave Spencer a welcome YEEHAW and had him stand up. They didn't do any K, so I am sure Brigham will be soon. We had Amber and Eric over for Labor day, we had a good time. We also enjoyed the exciting BYU game on Sat. with the Shumways. I finally found a 1/2 marathon not on Sun. in NASHVILLE, it isn't until April so 7 months training will be different than 2, but better in some ways. :) I am very excited about going back and about running. One friend already wants to do it with me so that is fun.
Thankfully a lot of kids bring lunch from home here so Spencer is still liking that. We were talking about school lunch and he said, "They don't know Little Caesar's secret to beautiful yumminess." He is so funny. Lucy is into changing her clothes at least 5 times a day, Erin M. I now totally understand your system for clothes! She is so funny about clothes, she will ask me if stuff matches and then she really likes a lot of Mary's clothes. She saw what I was putting on her one morning and said, "that is really cute, I think I could wear that." Yesterday she did put one of her dresses on, I can't believe it fit but it came to mid thigh. Thankfully she decided on something else before church. Oh Joe was made a high priest yesterday, he is on the Stake High Council now and will be working with one of the Spanish wards. He is very excited and his blessings were beautiful. I know we are where we are suppose to be. We are very blessed.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a fun weekend watching BYU win and playing with our Texas cousins today. The kids made a little video for my family, it isn't very good but hopefully you can see them a little bit. Mary is so observant it is so fun to watch her. She looks at everything the clouds, the signs, the details on her toys. Lucy is doing GREAT at wearing underwear or panties, I tend to call them underwear. :) Brigham and Spencer both loved their first week of school. Lucy got to go to a neighbor's birthday party on Sat. I went with her, we had a good time.
