Dallas Temple

I drew the Dallas Temple for our upcoming Primary Activity. It is always fun to draw, especially when I finish it and like it.

The other day we opened the fridge to find this. Lucy's attempt to get some "popcorn" cheese. She got the scoop stuck. :)

It is so crazy to see the huge changes that take place at 18 months and 8 years of age. Watching Spencer and Mary change so much is crazy.
Mary is always carrying a little book around. She rarely lets them out of her sight. Her favorite is this counting Barney book. She has said 2 new words this week: five, while reading her Barney book. And the other was "cheese" when I pulled out the camera. So cute!

Spencer is all of the sudden into way different shows on t.v. He likes the Disney movies now like the ones that come on the Disney channel. He was watching "Another Cinderella Story" last night because of the Gomez girl in it. She is in several shows he likes. I told him I was excited because now I could watch t.v. with him and like it. :) But it is still weird because a couple of months ago he hated a lot of the very things he is liking now and it is weird to see him growing up already. :(

First Day of School!

Spencer and Brigham all excited to go!!! So much so that Spencer's stomach was giving him fits. Sorry son!

Showing off their backpacks.

Brig and Mrs. Burdett--1st grade!

Spencer and Mrs. Perigo--3rd grade!

Mary after Peanut Butter Pie for FHE--Spencer's choice, although Lucy wants me to "save" the rest for her Birthday. :)
Very fun kids, I am so blessed. I can't believe my boys are in the 3rd and 1st grade. They were asking me the names of all my elementary teachers and I was surprised at how easily I remembered all of them. These years are so impressionable. I don't know if I can remember any of my college professors names. I had a good day with the girls. I didn't have time to be sad; I went to my friend's house to watch her 2 year old and clean up a bit, she is on bed rest with #3, then I picked up the boys and her Kindergartner and it was time for homework and the rest the day. The boys loved their teachers and had all sorts of exciting stories. I do LOVE being a mother.

Random Update

Decided to paint on my wall the other day.

Mary is hilarious. She won't say more than 2 or 3 words but she will let me know what she wants to wear. Lately she has been wanting to wear Lucy's panties, she is fine with wearing them over her shorts. :)

Before hair cut, should have taken it from the back.

Her first real hair cut.

Not a very good after shot but this is after we got our hair cut.

We had a fun time together.

I can't believe school starts in a week. We are not even ready. Oh well at least we never hit the summer boredom...

Happy 8th Birthday Spencer! Part three:

After the baptism we went to lunch at Babe's Diner--there is a reason it is famous. It was FANTASTIC! It is right by our church too. The Roper's and our crew. Their new baby Tessa is in the carrier that is cut off. Scott is on the left and from f to b on right: Hollie, Caytie, Emma, Ben Gracie, and Joe.

So hilarious--check out Spencer's face. I taped some of this but it wouldn't load. But his facial expression tells all. He did not crack a smile once--he was mortified that everyone was singing to him. Listening to us laugh on the video is the best--it was so funny!

Spencer after the mortification and Mary.

Mid-day before more party. Brigham gave him a punching bag--that I think is already ruined.

He is so excited to start scouting.

More presents at his party.

Another cake. Joe helped me again. Thanks babe!

Spencer you are awesome! We love you so much. Thank you for being a great example and good big brother. We love having you in our family.

Happy 8th Birthday Spencer! Part two:

Spencer with his towel Gma Great had made for him. So cute!

Spencer turned 8 yesterday! I can't believe it, time goes so fast! We had an awesome day, I think he did too. He got baptized--how cool is that on his birthday!--went to lunch with his family and good friend's family, and had a huge party with 4 families last night.

Our family--we are so proud of you Spencer!

Daddy and Spenc!

Joe, Spencer, Melissa Morales, Oz Morales

Tanner and Taylor Probst, Brigham, Hunter and Ephraim Probst, Scott Roper and Spencer!
Fun boys!

Bishop Whitworth and Spencer.

Spencer asked his good friend Scott Roper to speak on the Holy Ghost. He did such a great job. Thanks Scott! He asked Brigham to say the closing prayer. Brig did it all by himself and he did so great! He prayed that Spencer would remember being baptized and prayed that everyone even those who haven't been baptized yet would remember this day. It was cute.

Spencer's early Birthday

Spencer will be getting baptized this Saturday on his birthday. We are all so excited.
Grandma and Grandpa hooked him up with plenty of white shirts.

His transformer cake that Joe and I had fun making.

We really had a great trip and we are so thankful for the chance to come.
Thank you Mom and Dad for letting us stay. We were very comfortable everywhere we went. We are glad to be home and we are trying to get ready for Spencer's weekend and get back to some routine before school starts and we switch to a different routine. :)
We love you all!
